Met Gala 2012: fashion obsessions.

We’ve recapped the fashion trends Hollywood’s biggest nights, and now its time to recap fashion’s big night out: the Met Gala. The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2012 Costume Institute Gala was the place to be in New York City last night for A-list celebs from movies, music and fashion. There was a lot of vibrant color, plunging necklines and feathers, but I do kind of wish there was more neon. If you’ve seen the red carpet pics, what was your favorite look or trend? Here are some of ours:

1. Tangerine Tango
Kristen Bell in Tommy Hilfiger
Katherine McPhee in Elie Saab
Ginnifer Goodwin in Monique Lhuillier
Clearly orange is the color of the year. Nice job, Pantone.

Justin Timberlake: singer, actor, interior designer? Introducing HomeMint.

Justin Timberlake has quite a resume. Singer, actor, fashion line owner, restauranteur, MySpace reviver. And now he’s throwing interior designer into the mix. Really, JT? Sure, he’s stylish and sexy, but of all the people in Hollywood, he is the last person to come to mind when thinking about home decor. I could maybe picture Ellen after seeing her amazing shoe closet, but not JT. Although now that I think about it, I could totally imagine him serenading me with Rock Your Body while hanging some sexy wallpaper.

Ok, well, I guess the actual experience of home decorating with JT won’t be quite so intimate. He has lent his name to BeachMint’s latest endeavor: HomeMint. (We’ve already  introduced you to BeautyMint and ShoeMint.) HomeMint, debuting this spring, is a collection of home goods and art curated and designed by Justin Timberlake and interior designer and celebrity stylist, Estee Stanley.

Girl crushing on: Mila Kunis.

This year, Mila Kunis was one of two females to make GQ‘s Men of the Year list. She was the pick for this years Knockout of the Year. And that’s what she is, a total knockout. I finally watched Friends With Benefits this past weekend, and I was definitely crushing on Mila more than JT. I mean JT is hot, but Mila is HOT!

I’ve loved her ever since Forgetting Sarah Marshall. She’s the kind of girl that other girls want to hate, but actually love. And the kind of girl that guys can’t get enough of. She’s sexy but cute, a bit exotic, funny, down to earth, sarcastic, ballsy…and a bit crude. But she’s real. And seemingly low maintenance. A total guys chick, and basically, the perfect girl.

Stylish Jake Gyllenhaal.

Sara, this one’s for you!

GQ Australia has released their August/September Big Style Issue. And your man Jake Gyllenhaal is gracing the cover! Actually, its a gatefold cover that also features Justin Timberlake and Ryan Reynolds! Triple the viewing pleasure! Here’s what GQ editor Nick Smith  has to say about Jake: “He started out playing Billy Crystal’s son in City Slickers. Twenty years later, Gyllenhaal is still one of Hollywood’s hottest properties. His career judgment has been impeccable. Gyllenhaal’s personal style is similarly flawless: the guy knows how to wear a suit … Tuxes are never a problem and he’s equally adept at a motorcycle-cut leather jacket, slim-cut jeans and Wayfarers. He seems unassuming, but you never forget the star power that lies beneath.”
