While planning today’s hottie post, I was noticing Gerard Butler all over my blog reader. Then I realized he has a movie coming out this week, so I think it’s time to feature him! What’s so great about his new movie, Chasing Mavericks, is that since it’s about a surfer there are a lot of pics of him prepping for the role. In the water. Shirtless. Reminding us of those 300 days. I mean who can forget those abs?? Digitally enhanced or not, they were legendary.

I like that IMDB says his trademarks are his “Scottish accent and gravelly, commanding voice.” Ok yes, those are two very swoony features. As well as his stunning blue-green eyes, infectious smile and great head of hair. He just oozes rugged masculinity. And he’s a smarty pants with a law degree from Glasgow University. Oh, and I mentioned the abs, right? (I know his weight has gone a bit up and down, but the abs are always there somewhere.)

I found two great quotes from Gerard about his Scottish hotness. “It’s that deep voice, the intensity, the gravitas. You just hear the Scottish voice and you can hear a man with a set of heavy feet that are connected to the ground. When they smile, they really smile. When they stare, they really stare. There is just something burning about them.” And, “In Scotland I’m just like a lot of other guys, but in America I’m seen as a very strong, masculine guy.”

Well, Scotland, here I come!
