It seems that every time I need to buy mascara I try a new one, and I think between Sara and I, we’ve probably tried every option on the market. Although I do have one go-to which is bareMinerals Flawless Definition Mascara. (I guess I should get around to posting a review…) Anyways, I really didn’t need a new mascara, but on a quick trip to CVS I got sidetracked at the Maybelline display by NEW! violators and pretty pink and teal packaging. Maybelline is my fave drugstore brand of mascara, so I couldn’t resist trying their new VOLUM’ EXPRESS® The Mega Plush. (Hello, it has both MEGA and PLUSH in the name!)

So far, I really like it. It’s not the most voluminous mascara I’ve ever used, but it’s a great daily mascara. It’s very soft compared to a lot of other mascaras and doesn’t feel like it’s making my lashes fall out, which is a bonus. It goes on smoothly, doesn’t flake, and does a good job of separating and defining. And I LOVE the flexible wand. Not that applying mascara is that difficult, but it does make it easier when swiping on like 500 coats of the stuff. (I read a statistic once that women swipe the mascara wand an average of 40 times per eye! I believe it…)
