Etsy find: Little Brown Pen.

I have been stalking Little Brown Pen for over a year now. In fact, this shop inspired my own photo project on my trip to Europe last summer. (A project that actually has its own Etsy shop, but I’m totally slacking on that one…) I love everything about this shop: the photography, the city, the use of color.

These colorful vignettes of Paris are part of the Paris Color Project, a series of photographs taken by Nichole Robertson. Each Fine Art Collection is broken down by color and contains either four or nine 8×10 prints. The shop also sells individual prints, postcard collections, calendars, and a series of abstracts.

You can also buy prints though the official Little Brown Pen website. Chronicle Books is publishing a collection of the photos called Paris in Color, and will be available April 18th. Nichole’s husband Evan also has an Etsy shop called Obvious State that sells posters and prints inspired by literature and word play.

P.S. I love the meaning behind the name Little Brown Pen, which was inspired by Nichole’s “pet name for brown fine point Sharpies – a random name for a blog inspired by a random obsession with brown pens.” I totally understand that Sharpie obsession….
